New Talks Available

Dermot Turing has already given numerous talks and interviews on Alan Turing and the History of Codebreaking, including the crucial role played by the Poles in breaking Enigma and the development and working of the Bombe. New topics include:

  • Alan Turing’s legacy and what it means for women in STEM
  • Sir Dermot Turing in conversation with Dr Natasha Ellison discussing Alan Turing’s work in developmental biology. This is more than a talk – it is aimed at the whole family and will showcase the visual and three-dimensional side of Alan Turing’s little known work, with illustrations, videos and actual living things. You can find out more here.

Sourcing books for events

  • If you are using a local bookstore to arrange the sale of books, please make sure you give them at least two weeks’ notice to get stock in. You will need to agree with them how many books you expect to sell.
  • If you can’t make arrangements with a local bookseller you can order books direct from Macmillan, The History Press’ distributor on a sale or return basis. This process will require at least three weeks’ notice in order to set up an account and have books mailed. Apply online here or call: +44(0)1256 302 692. Any remaining books will need to be arranged to be picked up and returned to Macmillan.
